ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (BLAKES LANE/ A4 BATH ROAD,
WARGRAVE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on the 15th April 2019 Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers the effect of which Is to prohibit any vehicle:
1. From proceeding along Blakes Lane, Wargrave between Its junctions with A4 Bath Road and Bear Lane.
2. From proceeding along A4 Bath Road, Wargrave at a speed exceeding 30 mph for a distance of 150m either side of the junction with Blakes Lane
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by item 1 above shall be restriction shall be via Tag Lane and A4 Bath Road or by this route in reverse..
The restriction for item 1 will take place between 29th April and 6th May 2019.
The restriction for item 2 will take place between 22nd April and 17th June 2019
The reason for these prohibitions is allow Southern Gas Network contractors to undertake gas replacement work in safety.
Access for residents and businesses within the boundaries of these restrictions will be maintained at all times.
The restriction imposed by the Order shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.
The restrictions contained in the Order shall come into operation on the 22nd April 2019 and shall continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
