ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, WOKINGHAM BOROUGH) (GIGACLEAR BDUK PROGRAMME) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:

1. Milley Lane, Hare Hatch between its junctions with Castle End Road and the Wokingham Borough Boundary.



The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the restriction shall be via The Street, B3024 Twyford Road, B3024 Waltham Road and Castle End Road or by this route in reverse.

Works requiring this restriction will take place between 10th May and 20th May 2019

2. Scarletts Lane, Hare Hatch between its junctions with A4 Bath Road and Milley Lane.



The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the restriction shall be via A4 Bath Road and Milley Lane or by this route in reverse.

Works requiring this restriction will take place between 21st May and 10th June 2019

3. Broadcommon Lane, Hurst between its junctions with The Straight Mile and Broadcommon Road.



The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the restriction shall be via Broadcommon Road, A321 Wokingham Road, A321 Broadwater Lane, Hinton Road, B3018 Waltham Road and The Straight Mile or by this route in reverse.

Works requiring this restriction will take place between 10th June and 18th June 2019

4. Castle End Road, Hare Hatch, between its junctions with Milley Lane and B3024 Waltham Road.



The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the restriction shall be via B3024 Waltham Road, New Road, A3032 London Road, A4 Bath Road and Milley Lane or by this route in reverse.

Works requiring this restriction will take place between 10th June and 28th June 2019

5. Linden Hill Lane, Hare Hatch for its entirety.



Works requiring this restriction will take place between 15th July and 19th July 2019

The reason for these prohibitions is allow Gigaclear contractors to undertake BDUK Superfast Broadband work in safety.

Access for residents and businesses within the boundaries of these restrictions will be maintained at all times.

The restriction imposed by the Order shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.

The restrictions contained in the Order shall come into operation on the 10th May 2019 and shall continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
