BRIGHTON & HOVE VARIOUS CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2018 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.8 2020 (REF: TRO-37A-2019)
BRIGHTON & HOVE (VALLEY GARDENS) TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER 2020 (REF: TRO-37B-2019)
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ("the Council") has on 8th July 2020 made the Order named above under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into operation on 15th July 2020 will introduce the following:-
? New or relocated no loading at any time restrictions in parts of Blenheim Place, Church Street, Gloucester Place, Gloucester Street, Grand Parade, Kingswood Street, Marlborough Place, Morley Street, North Road, Richmond
Parade, Richmond Place, Richmond Terrace, St
George's Place, St Peter's Place, Trafalgar Street, Waterloo Place and York Place.
* Introduce new length of permit parking in Ditchling Road.
* Relocate and increase the length of exclusive
paid parking in Gloucester Place.
* Relocate and alter the existing disabled bays in Gloucester Place to make them time-limited to
3 hours (no return within 1 hour).
? New motorcycle bay in Gloucester Place and Marlborough Place.
* New Loading bays at any time in Gloucester
Place, Marlborough Place, Richmond Place, Richmond Parade, St George's Place and York Place.
* Relocate the Taxi Ranks currently in Gloucester Place and St Peter's Place to York Place.
8 Remove some of the currenttraffic management
measures in place in this area and introduce:
* One-Way in Marlborough Place (northern arm -
between North Road and Grand Parade).
* Prohibition of Right Turn onto Grand Parade from Kingswood Street.
* Prohibition of Left Turn from Marlborough Place
(southern arm) onto Grand Parade and Prohibition of Left Turn (with exceptions) from St Peter's Place onto York Place.
Please note that the proposed no right turn from Richmond Parade onto Grand Parade is not being implemented at present due to an objection
received, the area will be monitored and a
decision to whether it will be implemented or not
will be made later.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of
the Order or of any of its provisions on the
grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have
not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made,
apply to the High Court for that purpose.
