Jazz In Reading is delighted to present jazz crossover trio Troyka at Reading Town Hall tomorrow (Wednesday, February 13).
The band - Kit Downes, Chris Montague and Joshua Blackmore - blend guitar, drums and keyboards to create funky, electronic melodies, and will perform tracks from their second album MOXXY.
Best-selling multi-instrumentalist Jamie Cullum says they are 'three of the most important young British jazz musicians we have in this country' and BBC Music says 'they exhibit a jazz sensibility that involves deep improvisation and complex composition, all imbued with a savage attack and impressively substantial mood-sculpting'.
Tickets for the gig, from 7.30pm at the Blagrave Street venue, are £14, £12 concessions, from www.readingarts.com or by calling 0118 960 6060.
