SCOTTISH STARS: Biffy Clyro are headlining Reading 2013

Rock superstars Biffy Clyro have been announced as the second main stage headliner for Reading Festival 2013.

The Scottish three-piece, currently touring to support their epic double-album Opposites, will headline the main stage on one of the days during the three-day festival, over the August Bank Holiday weekend, alongside already announced headliner Eminem.

System Of A Down, one of the most successful - and constantly innovative - alt-metal bands of all time, are also on the bill, having reformed in 2010 after a four-year hiatus. Metalcore heroes Bring Me The Horizon join them at the more alternative end of the bill.

Also set to play are another reformed band, Fall Out Boy, who hit the big time with their 2005 single Sugar We're Going Down, treading the line between pop and rock, Oxford guitar band Foals and uber-stylish indie darling Jake Bugg.

Reading Festival takes place from Friday-Sunday, August 23-25, and features a packed line-up of rock, grime, indie, dance, metal and punk at Little John's Farm, Reading. This year BBC 1Xtra will host its own BBC 1Xtra Arena for the first time, with grime collective Boy Better Know, featuring Wiley, Skepta and JME, opening the stage, which will run for the whole festival and be dedicated to grime and hip hop.

Tickets are on sale at £205.50 for a weekend ticket with £15 early-entry permits. Day ticket prices are yet to be announced. Book at www.readingfestival.com or buy in person from The Hexagon, Reading.
