HEAR about Reading Town Hall's world-famous 'Father' Willis pipe organ from its curator William McVicker, head over to The Concert Hall for a special night of music from internationally-recognised brass instrumentalists Grimethorpe Colliery Band, or make your way to The Great Hall at Reading University, London Road campus, to take in the beautiful sounds of Reading Male Voice Choir and Woodley Concert Band on Saturday.

CLUB Velocity returns to Play, at 35 Midford Road, on Saturday and it's got a mighty fine set list to satisfy the most hardened music critics.

Albatross and Newbury lads Kill The Joker will open the night, chasing their tails are Sparrows, with their natural, uplifting and addictive ditties, and Dead Mask Club head the line-up, who, in Club Velocity's words, are 'a proper band that eat nails for breakfast, lunch and dinner.' WHEN it comes to controversial performance art, no-one does it quite like Steven Berkoff.

Graft, the award-winning piece from the iconic director, follows the story of Harry, an out of work actor, on his way from drama school to the big stage - highlighting the sacrifices he must make on his journey.

FOODIES can indulge in a fantastic new free festival at South Hill Park this weekend.

THE award-winning South Bank Trio will entertain audiences with a special summer concert in All Saints Church, in Peppard, at 7.30pm, on Saturday, June 16.

The fermale flautist, cellist and pianist will perform pieces by Hadyn, Bowen and Czech composers Martinu and Tuk. There is no

entry fee but there will be a collection for Christian Aid.

ACCORDION virtuoso Karen Street is stopping at Wesley Methodist Church, in Queens Road, Reading on Thursday, June 14, as part of her UK tour to help her raise £1,200 for Alzheimer's Research UK.
