RISING star comic, Imran Yusuf, has tasked himself to Bring The Thunder to Arlington Arts Centre, Newbury, tomorrow (Friday). The show is about exploring your dreams and, with rave reviews, a Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination and stints on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow under his belt, it seems that Imran is persuing his with great success! BILL Bailey, comedian, musician, eccentric and hairy king of wacky hilarity, is returning to Reading's Hexagon next year with his bafflingly-titled new show, Qualmpeddler. One of the most respected comedians in the UK, Bill will be at The Hexagon on Wednesday and Thurday, May 1-2, 2013. Tickets are priced at £26.95. KING Of The Mic is back, and some of the hottest talents in the area are jostling to show the quality of their lyrical flow at the competition on Thursday, November 29. Up for the title from the Reading area are CarlyB, who describes herself as "soulful, sweet, funky, and influenced by Katy B and Rihanna" and Silqe, so-called because of his "strong intelligent lyrics quantified eloquently".

The rappers will take to the mic at South Hill Park, Bracknell, and the winner will snap up £200, a photo and video shoot, plus free studio time, as well as support and promotion from organisers Raw Linx. On the night there will also be performances from Mr Faizer, 2011 winner Sabrina Bell, 2010 winner MCX, Mister ST and Gibbo. SETTLE into the spectacular setting of Reading University's Great Hall for the first full concert of Reading Symphony Orchestra's 2012-2013 season. The orchestra will begin with the Overture to The Bartered Bride by Smetana, followed by Richard Strauss' Don Juan. The orchestra will also be welcoming back American pianist Alan Weiss, hailed as "one of the outstanding pianists of his generation".
