WOKINGHAM'S Marcus Willis is the top seed for the four-day Aegon British Tour Masters, which gets underway today (Thursday).

The 23-year-old has just returned from a successful trip to Greece, and arrives in Nottingham with a world ranking of 359, close to his career high of 346 in October.

As top seed, he will be looking to win his first Master’s title, having lost to Richard Bloomfield at the quarter-final stage in each of the last two years.

He gets underway this afternoon against Phillip Sikman. Also representing Berkshire is the fifth seed James Ireland, who plays Joseph Gill.

With £2,000 prize money for the winner and a total prize money pot of £22,600, the draw includes 15 world ranked men and 8 world ranked women in the respective draws.
