THE father of Bracknell swimming sensation Andrew Willis admitted he has to 'pinch himself' to believe his son's Olympic achievements.
Nigel Willis, chief coach of Bracknell & Wokingham Swimming Club, was present at the aquatics centre on Tuesday night to see Andrew set a new English record in the 200 metre breaststroke and qualify for the final.
Andrew, 22, and training partner Michael Jamieson are due to contest the final tonight at the Aquatics Centre.
Speaking exclusively to the News, Nigel beamed: "We're absolutely on top of the world. Words defeat me, I think we're still in shock. Whatever happens Andrew has done us all so proud.
"His aim was to reach the final and he's achieved that, he knew he had to swim fast and he definitely did. But the competition is tough."
