More than 20 youngsters took advantage of free coaching when Sand Martins hosted a Girls Golf Rocks session on Saturday.
“We were delighted to see so many, they were from tots up to teenagers,” said club organiser Alan Leason.
“We were very pleased how the day went. It was good to see so many young girls really enjoying themselves.”
Led by club professional Symon O’Keefe, the taster session included a putting exercise, hitting from the driving range with a 7 iron and a competition.
Afterwards, at least two girls were offered junior membership of the club, while others have the chance of further coaching at a reduced fee.
Another has been given the opportunity to attend the club’s special needs sessions.
O’Keefe and Leason were assisted by three Berkshire county players, 13-year-old Megan Hewinson, Elise Hunt, 16, and Jessica Li, 19.
