SOUTH Berkshire men remain sixth in MBBO Regional Two after losing 3-2 to the side one place above them in the table, Marlow, on Saturday, writes Richard Ashton.

Dan Ray and Andy Smith were on target for the home side, but a brace from Matthew Bilsland and a James Ashburner strike did the damage for Marlow.

South Berkshire conclude their season with a trip to Tring this coming Saturday.

In Division Eight East, South Berkshire 5ths earned a fine 6-2 victory at Slough Despondents.

South Berkshire Terriers have been crowned champions of Division Eight West after basement boys Wallingford 5ths conceded their game on Saturday.

Terriers finished one point clear of Reading Rascals.

South Berkshire Ladies ended their Trysports Three Counties League Premier Division campaign in fifth place after falling to a 1-0 reverse at Oxford 2nds in their final game of the season, Sophia Choudhury getting the only goal.

In Division Three, South Berkshire 3rds battled to an excellent 3-2 victory at Kidlington 2nds.

Sandra Dodington, Bethan Thomas and Bridgette Jones were on target for the visitors, with Georgie Molloy and Danielle Jones replying for the Oxfordshire side.

Dani Bertolino, Lyndall Davitt, Lisa Cameron, Hannah Sayers and Safeeyah Rashid were among the goalscorers as South Berkshire 4ths sealed promotion from Division Five following a 7-1 trouncing of Maidenhead 5ths.

They sit one point clear of Wycombe 4ths, and will be crowned champions if they beat third-placed Wallingford 4ths this coming Saturday.

Wycombe are at home to sixth-placed Amersham & Chalfont 5ths.
