South Berkshire were beaten 3-1 at home by Oxford 2nd in their MBBO Regional Two match on Saturday.

Their only goal came from Tom King, taking his season’s tally into double figures.

Callum MacKenzie, Tom Small and Jon Stevens were on target for the visitors, who were completing a quick double following their 4-0 win the previous Sunday.

They will be looking for a return to form when they visit Witney this Saturday (11am).

South Berkshire 2nds triumphed 3-2 at Windsor 1sts in MBBO Division 2 with Paul Kaplanski bagging a brace to follow up his hat-trick against Thame a week earlier, leaving him on 13 goals for the season.

Ashley Stratton scored his side’s other vital goal.

They move up to sixth in the table ahead of this weekend’s home game against West Hampstead 3rds, the side immediately above them in the table.

In MMBO Division Three, South Berkshire 3rds boosted their hopes of moving clear of the relegation zone by defeating Banbury 3rds 5-3. Tom Pullen led the way with a hat-trick, while there was a goal apiece for Ashley Holden and Adrian Tang.

Pullen now has 20 goals for the season and will aiming to add to his tally in this weekend’s away fixture with Oxford 4ths, who are just below them in the standings.

South Berkshire Terriers kept in hot pursuit of the top two sides in Division Eight West by crushing Oxford 9ths 5-0. They remain third in the table, two points behind Wallingford 4ths and Thame 2nds with three games left. This Saturday they are away to Wallingford 5ths, who are still without a win this season.

South Berkshire 5ths’ Division 8 East fixture away to Wycombe 6ths was postponed, but expect to be back in action this Saturday when they host Staines 4ths.

South Berkshire Ladies 1sts moved up to third place in the Trysports Three Counties League – the highest place they can now achieve – following a goalless draw away to mid-table Oxford Hawks 3rds. This Saturday they are home to Sonning 2nds.

South Berkshire 2nds slipped to second from bottom in Premier Division 2 after losing 1-0 at home to Amersham & Chalfont 2nds But they have a good opportunity to ease their relegation fears this weekend with a trip to basement side Wallingford 2nds on Saturday and a visit to eight-placed Oxford Hawks 4ths on Sunday.

In Division 3, South Berkshire 3rds hammered Harlow – High Wycombe 4-0 and will be looking for three more points when they visit Thame 2nds this weekend.
