A MAGNIFICENT hat-trick from Tom King, allied to a Ravi Patel strike, fired South Berkshire to a 4-2 MBBO Regional Two success at Aylesbury, helping the Birch Hill Recreation Ground side climb to fifth in the table, writes Richard Ashton.

Dan Best and Ollie Paterson were on target for the home team.

South Berkshire 2nds slipped into the bottom two in MBBO Division Two after they were beaten 2-1 at home by High Wycombe 3rds.

Paul Kaplanski was on target for the home side, but they were undone by goals from Ben Cutler and David Marsden-Jones.

In Division Three, hot-shots Tom Scott and Tom Pullen were again on fire as South Berkshire 3rds won 6-3 at Oxford Hawks 5ths.

Scott grabbed a hat-trick to take his seasonal tally to nine, while the division’s second top-scorer Pullen’s two-goal salvo helped him to 14 for the campaign.

Duncan Clarke was also on target for the visitors, while Ben Hudson, Steve Hudson, and Simon White netted for Hawks.

South Berkshire 5ths climbed to fourth in the Division Eight East table with a 6-1 thrashing of Aylesbury 4ths, while South Berkshire Terriers maintained their Division Eight West promotion assault with a 2-0 success at Reading Rovers.

South Berkshire SuperVets lost their friendly against Southampton 6-2.

In Premier Division One of the Trysports Three Counties League, South Berkshire Ladies warmed up for their home game against Oxford University 2nds on Saturday with a 3-0 triumph at Wallingford.

In Premier Two, South Berkshire 2nds pushed table-toppers Newbury & Thatcham all the way before going down 2-1, but South Berkshire 3rds thrashed Banbury 4ths 4-0 in Division Three.

Division Five leaders South Berkshire 4ths were stunned 4-1 at Amersham & Chalfont 5ths.
