Wokingham followed up their home win over their rivals with an away success against a Reading side boasting international player Rob Newman.

Wokingham's top rink was skipped by Tom Searle along with Bob Thompson, Colin Livingstone and Michael Duggan, winning by 14 shots.

Wokingham B ended Division Two leaders Maidenhead Thicket's unbeaten record with a 90-80 victory.

Wokingham Oakapples beat Suttons Gems who were only able to field two triples for the Thames Valley Ladies League Division Three clash.

Suttons won both matches played with Jenni MacGregor losing 15-14 and Janette Kane 20-10.

In friendly matches, Wokingham defeated Ad-Finem 139-92 with a top rink of Pat Cleary (skip), John Balkwell, George Hayne and Les Allen, winning by 20 shots.

Great Hollands

Great Hollands Linnets won 53-49 against Maidenhead in Thames Valley Ladies League for a 7-3 points victory.

But the Wrens lost 52-39 to Three Mile Cross for an 8-2 points defeat. Their only winning triple was Jean Williams, Irene Bradley and Sheila Stickland.

In the Kennet League, Great Hollands continued their winning streak with a 99-54 victory against Reading B for a 14-0 points success.

The club's Kennet LV team won two out of three triples for a 50-39 victory over Royal Household and 8-2 on points.

George Harris, David Brown and Terry Harmer won 24-5, Ray Furnell, Mike Bowden and Bill Cheale won 17-14 while Dave Sutherby, Frank Townsend and John Treanor lost 20-9.

The B team also won two of the three triples against Wraysbury, but lost 52-58 and 5-4 on points.

Mike Stickland, Mitch Mitchell and Fred Payne won 23-14, Henry Bone, Fred Moody and Dave Anderson won 19-15 but Richard Clark, Don Foote and Tim Barrett lost 29-10.

The D team lost 63-47 at Reading B and 8-2 on points. Bill Heffill, Robert Dearman and Ray Penfold had the only winning rink by 18-16.

Norman Bullock, George Auret and Stewart McMoneagle lost 26-15 with Neil Lofthouse, Paul Damiano and Les Dyckes losing 21-14.
