WOKINGHAM BC lost their mixed friendly 133-79 at Windsor & Eton.
The visitors won only one of six rinks, with skip David Smith along with Barry Wooley, Diane Pople and Ann Taylor securing a 20-15 success.

Wokingham Ladies were leading their friendly against Tilehurst 38-32 when the match was abandoned after 10 ends due to cold weather.

Vidy Melber was the highest up skip winning her game by four shots, and there was also a winning start for debutant Marie Fielding.

Wokingham beat Sunningdale 68-47, winning all three rinks. Sandra Thompson along with Rosemary Musto and Sue Thomson were the highest up rink winning their match by six shots.

A total of 57 members toured Dawlish from Monday to Thursday of last week, playing two matches each day.

Wokingham defeated Den Bowling Club with the most successful rink skipped by John Evans along with Eric Nathan, Bill Finnie and Hazel Winstone.

The “Top Lady” on tour was Arleen MacFarlane and the “Top Man” was Alan Taylor.

Wokingham men defeated the Royal County of Berkshire 143-101 to win their County Bannerette match.

Wokingham won three of the five rinks with the most successful skipped by Paul Melhuish along with Michael Duggan, Paul Graham and Sam Welsh. They were plus 24 shots.

There were also fine wins for Bob Thompson, whose rink won by 19 shots, and John Scowen, whose rink were plus 22 shots.

GREAT Hollands won three of the four rinks in their match against Aldermaston to edge to a 68-65 victory.

The rink skipped by Fred Moody was the most successful, prevailing 16-10, while those skipped by Sheila Lee and David Harnden won 22-21 and 17-13 respectively.

The team led by Graham Cripps was defeated 21-13.

The club hosted Oakley on Saturday, winning three rinks, drawing one and losing one in a close 101-98 victory.

Sheila Readings’ rink won 24-20, Mike Bowden’s 25-18 and Neil Lofthouse’s 22-21.

The rink skipped by Ray Furnell drew 16-16 and Lol Street’s team lost 23-14.

Great Hollands beat BA Concorde 85-74 with the rinks skipped by Jose Chippendale (23-20), Bill Cheale (25-12) and Terry Harmer (17-15) all successful. Gerry Austin’s lost 27-20.

Great Hollands lost 108-82 to Walton on Thames in a mixed triples clash on Sunday, but the mixed rinks beat Mychett 97-82.

They won four of five rinks, with George Harris’s (23-11) by the biggest margin.
