BERKSHIRE Men put in a wonderful performance to thrash Middlesex 134-86 recently.

They won five winning rinks and drew 19-19 draw in the final one.

Top rink honours were shared by the quartet skipped by Ian Snowden with Anton Windmill, Aubrey Merry and Alan Symondson, along with the rink skipped by Bret Long with Sid Williams, Terry Davies and Kevin Scrace. Both rinks won their games plus 14 shots.

Berkshire Ladies slipped to a 100-82 defeat in their County Bannerette match at Rivermead.

The hosts won four rinks to Berkshire’s two. 

The best performers for Berkshire was the rink skipped by Edna Orchard with Jennifer Bartter and Jo Lawrie. They won plus 10 shots.

Berkshire President Doreen Lovering presented to Rivermead’s Captain Sue Allum a Berkshire Bannerette to record their victory.
