BRACKNELL Town's topsy-turvy season continued on Saturday as they were beaten 3-1 at Maidenhead United Reserves.

The Robins had reignited their hopes of winning the Hellenic Division One East title with back-to-back wins over Easter.

However, defeat at Maidenhead leaves them well off the pace set by leaders Rayners Lane and needing a strong finish to even take the runners-up spot.

It had looked so promising for Bracknell when Josh Delander turned home Jake White's cross in just the fifth minute.

But Pedram Ardalany equalised for Maidenhead before the break and second-half goals from Lee Barney and Mantel Powell completed the turnaround.

Shane Cooper-Clark went closest to adding to Bracknell's tally with a shot that struck the post.

The Robins make the short trip to Woodley Town this evening (Monday, 6pm ko).

Elsewhere in the division, former Bracknell Town striker Harry Swabey scored both goals to give Finchampstead a 2-1 win over Didcot Town Reserves.

Finchampstead Reserves were also celebrating as they won the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup with a 1-0 win against Oakley.

In the Hellenic Premier Division, Matt Jones and Luke Lee both scored twice to help Wokingham & Emmbrook ease past Reading Town 4-1 at Scours Lane.

Ascot United failed to bounce back from their midweek loss to Binfield as they were beaten 2-1 at Oxford City Nomads on Saturday.

Recent signing Jermaine Roche got the only goal of the game for the Yellamen but it came too late to affect the outcome.

Eversley & California lost 2-1 to AFC Croydon Athletic in the semi-finals of the Combined Counties Lemon Recordings Division One Cup.

Chris Fox gave the Boars the lead in the 23rd minute but Croydon responded with two goals before half time and held on to book their place in the final.

In the Combined Counties Premier, Sandhurst Town remain rooted to the foot of the table after a 2-1 home defeat to Hanworth Villa.
