BRACKNELL Town's promotion hope were dealt another blow on Tuesday evening as they threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at home to third-placed Chinnor.

Robins have not won a game in Hellenic Division One East since thrashing Chalfont Wasps 7-0 in early December.

That result was followed up with a home defeat to rivals Finchampstead and then successive draws against Chinnor, Easington Sports, and now Chinnor again.

Robins looked to be on course to end their winless run as they raced into a 2-0 lead at Larges Lane on Tuesday.

Sam Barratt put Bracknell ahead on 15 minutes when he fired in from the edge of the area after Shane Cooper-Clark's shot was parried.

Bracknell's other Barratt, Tom, then doubled the advantage shortly afterwards with a deflected effort that wrong-footed the keeper.

But Chinnor gave themselves a lifeline as they halved the deficit before half time.

It looked as though the goal would count for nothing until the 86th minute when the visitors scored again to snatch a draw.

Bracknell are now 21 points behind leaders Rayners Lane and will only go level with them at the top if they win all seven of their games in hand.

Robins take a break from the league this weekend to host Aston Clinton in the semi-finals of the Berks & Bucks County Intermediate Cup (3pm ko).

Elsewhere on Tuesday evening, struggling Sandhurst Town pulled off an upset in Combined Counties Premier Division as they beat fifth-placed Badshot Lea 3-2.

Wokingham & Emmbrook were not in league action so manager Roger Herridge took the opportunity to arrange a friendly against Combined Counties Division One leaders Frimley Green.

Matt Jones was on target for Sumas as the game finished 1-1.
