BRACKNELL RFC forwards coach Stuart Silvester does not believe this weekend's top-of-the-table clash with Old Centralians will decide the South West One East champions.

The two sides have been the standout performers in the division this season, losing just a single game each.

Bracknell's only defeat came against Old Cents at Lily Hill Park, while the Gloucestershire club lost their opening match of the campaign to Reading.

As such, a positive result for either side at Painswick Road this Saturday (2.30pm ko) could prove to be hugely significant in a two-horse race at the top.

Silvester, though, thinks there will still be twists and turns after the meeting, especially if either side drops their standards.

"This game will not be the end of the league, there are still a few 'banana skin' fixtures left for both sides," he told the News.

"If you don't show up on the day you can lose, it's still an open league. Windsor have been getting some good results recently and we are still taking each game as it comes."
