I CAN only imagine that being a London Irish supporter must be extremely frustrating sometimes, and recently has been no exception.
As a team we have not delivered the consistency that we've been striving for. It's fair to say it's been a rollercoaster of emotions for both players and supporters.
I'm now in my fourth season at Irish and I've seen some dark times, two years ago we lost 10 consecutive games, but we turned it around by all sticking together, and the solution to the challenges we face today is still the same. Unity.
Obviously we spend a lot of time analysing where we went wrong and how to correct it so that it doesn't happen again. However, it's important we focus on what went well and try to keep a positive mood in the camp.
I have to thank those supporters who take time out of their day to tweet the players positive messages, it is always nice to know people appreciate that we are trying our hardest to turn this season around and climb up the league to where we should be.
This Saturday we visit the Kassam Stadium and face London Welsh. This will be a slightly odd fixture due to the fact that we used to train regularly against each other, and several of the current squad including myself used to play for them on loan.
However, this is a must win game for us and there will be no room for sentiment come one o'clock on Saturday.
On a separate note it has been great to see Joe Ansbro back at the club this week after recovering from his neck injury. He is a true warrior on the pitch and true gent off of it. It will be a big lift for the whole squad having him back around Sunbury, and hopefully it won't be too long before he is back in the green jersey.
Keep the faith!!
