CROWTHORNE RFC climbed to fourth place in the BB&O Premier with a 29-19 success at basement boys Wheatley.
The visitors dominated the opening 10 minutes and took the lead when Ricky Frost crossed before Dougie Charman added the extras.
They doubled their advantage with another converted score, Frost this time turning provider for Stuart Laye to cut a superb line and dot down.
Wheatley hit back with a try of their own before wing Jake Lovelock re-established Crowthorne’s two-score lead, only for the hosts to secure another converted score to make it 19-14 at the break.
Charman added a penalty and Lovelock bagged another converted try before Wheatley closed the scoring late on.
Crowthorne do not have a game this weekend and return to action with a trip to leaders Gosford All Blacks on Saturday, April 2.
