BRACKNELL RFC slipped to a third National Three London & South East defeat of the season as they were beaten 28-7 at early-season pacesetters Tonbridge Juddian.

The Lily Hill men had the bulk of possession but were ultimately made to pay for individual handling errors as their more clinical hosts took the spoils.

After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, Tonbridge took the lead when Nick Ramsey broke down the wing for a coverted score.

However, from the restart, Tonbridge failed to gather the ball and Bracknell were quick to pounce. The ball went to Joe Price who scored and the conversation by Lewis Dennett levelled the scores

With confidence growing among the Bracknell supporters, Rory Greenslade-Jones' side suffered a set-back as a rare Juddian attack resulted in a second converted score just before the break.

Jamie Metcalfe loped down the left touchline and after some excellent support play the ball found Tom Morris who crashed over.

Bracknell would have been wondering how they were behind despite having so much ball but with the wind behind them they could have expected better things in the second half. However that did not happen as the game rarely flowed and Tonbridge simply took their chances, although the third try featured a touch of luck.

As Bracknell looked to work their way up field they pushed it too hard against some excellent hosts' line speed, and an interception by Tom Nicoll took his side further ahead before a Sam Monaghan effort sealed the bonus point win. Ben Cooper converted both scores to seal as Juddian sealed the bonus-point win.

Bracknell will look to secure back-to-back home wins when they welcome Guernsey to Lily Hill Park on Saturday (2pm).
