<strong>BRACKNELL Rugby Club celebrated a fantastic season with an awards day in the sunshine to mark the first time in the club’s history that all four of the junior sides have won their respective Berkshire leagues. </strong> <strong>BRACKNELL Rugby Club celebrated a fantastic season with an awards day in the sunshine to mark the first time in the club’s history that all four of the junior sides have won their respective Berkshire leagues. </strong> Honorary Bracknell RFC and outgoing RFU president Jonathan Dance presented the trophies to each team captain on the 1st XV pitch – where many of these players will hope to play in future years.

The Under 13A team, coached by Clive Field, picked up their award after finishing top of the table after a nervous 5-5 draw with rivals Maidenhead in the newly introduced cup final day – which sees the top two teams battle it out.

The game ended all square which meant the previous result between the sides was referred to, which Bracknell had won 17-12. T he Under 14A team were comfortable winners in their league after recovering from a shaky start to the season to put together an outstanding run and finish comfortable winners.

There were no surprises in the Under 15A team as they once again dominated to extend their unbeaten record to three seasons.

Eddie Collins’ side conceded only one try in their seven games and ran in numerous tries from all over the field to assert their dominance.

It was also lucky number three for the Under 16s as Martin Radford’s side made it three league titles in a row, with the players now joining the Bracknell Academy as they look to make the transition into senior rugby.

The Academy A team enjoyed a successful season as they secured promotion into Division One of the Oxon, Berks & Bucks league after finishing a respectable second in Division Two.

The B team continued the theme of success as they won their Division Three League Cup after winning a hotly-contested game against Chinnor 27-26.
