The boys in the squad have not lost a league game for the past three seasons and showed why they are the best in their age group in the country with another memorable campaign.

They clinched the championship in true style thanks to an emphatic 56–0 victory at Newbury Blues recently.

Their latest success also maintained their superb 100% record for the season that saw them win all seven matches, scoring an incredible 229 points and conceding only five.

It was a stunning achievement by Bracknell’s 22-strong squad who travelled to Newbury courtesy of a coach kindly provided by team sponsors, Stewarts coaches.

Newbury sent out a big, powerful pack, but they were no match for the impressive front row trio of Liam Collins, Tom Hodge and Matt Murphy.

Bracknell, with the championship in their sights, burst out of the blocks and scored two early tries through winger Jack McGee and captain and flanker, Ben Atkins.

A further two tries from James Miles and Harry Baker put Bracknell in control and, though all four conversions were missed in a strong wind, they led 20–0 at the break with a bonus point secured.

Newbury fought back early in the second-half, but Bracknell’s defence stood firm when put under pressure.

The visitors then went on the attack again with forwards Luke Bull, Jamie Johnson, Alec Brombley and Ben Cotton at the heart of their best moves.

With a full squad of 22, Bracknell then made some telling changes as Robbie Robson, Peter Smart and Marc Van Nieuwenhuizen added fresh legs and impetus when they came on.

The midfield of James Barratt, Richard Mellor, Danny Ramsay and Ben Stevens along with replacement scrum-half Toby Hullis also began to dictate play as the second half wore on.

As Newbury began to wilt, Bracknell ran in six further tries in the second half, with McGee and Miles grabbing another one each during fine individual performances.

Danny Ramsay, Ben Cotton, Thomas Spencer-Jones and Charlie King also joined in on the act with one touchdown apiece, with three well-taken conversions completing the rout and sealing another championship.

Bracknell can now look forward to a hotly-anticipated friendly against Saracens and a tour to Bournemouth, where the squad won silverware last year.
