BINFIELD shooter Amber Hill has received SportsAid’s One-to-Watch Award 2013 from the Duchess of Cambridge.
Hill, 16, holds the junior shotgun world record and was presented with her award by the charity's patron, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge, at the SportsBallTM in London last night.
Hill is already the senior British number one and ranked fifth in the world.
Amber won the prestigious award in recognition of her achievements and the huge potential she has displayed as the most promising young athlete SportsAid has supported this year throughout the UK.
She beat off competition from more than 1,300 other athletes across 66 different sports.
Hill said “The night was absolutely amazing. Meeting the Duchess was incredible. She is such a lovely person and a great role model. The fact that she recognises young people in sport is a great thing.”
