Manicom was on target in the first half, and with Dan Baker also converting a penalty, Finch took a comfortable 2-0 lead into half-time against their Thames Valley League opponents.

And there was never any doubt of them moving into the final as further strikes from Sean Ennis, Richard Kell and another Baker spot-kick helped them through in emphatic style.

Finch will play the winner of this Saturday’s game between Sandhurst Devels Reserves and Westwood United Reserves in the final of the competition.

l FINCHAMPSTEAD did not have a Hellenic League Division One East game last Saturday.

They will return to action this coming Saturday for a trip to Penn & Tylers Green in their last league game of the season.

Finch currently sit in ninth place in the table, but can drop as low as 11th if they fall to defeat.

A victory for Jon Laugharne and Graham Pickersgill’s side could see them finish the season in eighth if Woodley Town lose their last two.
