Kane Jones netted twice, whilst the other goals for Windsor came courtesy of Kyle Lucas and a Jack Broome own goal.

It was a disappointing performance from Binfield, even though a 4-0 scoreline was potentially harsh on Herridge’s men.

They went into the game on the back of four straight wins since he took the helm, but they were behind from 14 minutes onwards at Stag Meadow.

The Moles had an early chance to take the lead but Seb Bowerman’s effort was straight at the Windsor keeper.

The opening goal came in the 14th minute but it was slightly controversial as Jones appeared to be offisde when he fired home after a cross by Lucas.

It was allowed to stand though and Windsor had an early lead that they wouldn’t relinquish.

Binfield came closest to levelling in the 35th minute when Adam Dickens fired against the bar from a free-kick, after Bowerman had been brought down on the egde of the box.

It remained 1-0 at the break but Binfield were on top in the early stages and Dickens again was off target when presented with a chance to level in the 53rd minute.

With Herridge’s side pushing forward, they were caught on the break as Windsor fled downfield and Lucas was on hand to convert past Dan Weait to make it 2-0.

It was 3-0 shortly after, when Broome diverted the ball into the back of the net to condemn the Moles to defeat.

And the scoring was completed late on, when a slick passing move involving six Windsor players was finished by Jones to complete the scoring.

Binfield kept fighting to the end and forced five late corners but they couldn’t find a consolation as they were dumped out of the cup.

They’ll look to bounce back when they travel to Thatcham Town on Saturday (3pm), before hosting Abingdon United in the Flying Floodlit Press Cup on Monday (7.45pm).
