A first half hat-trick by Jack Copeland and a thumping header from Ben Alderman saw the Sumas go in at half time 4-0 up and completely in control.

But Oranges surrendered their commanding lead after an under-par display in the second half and had to settle for a point for the second weekend in a row.

Copeland was named-man-of the match after notching his first league goals for Oranges.

But his team also bowed out of the Berks & Bucks FA U12 Youth Cup following a 6-1 loss at Westwood Wanderers Greens in a preliminary round tie at Mapledurham.

Westwood took advantage of Oranges’ slow start and went 2-0 up inside four minutes and were 5-0 ahead at the break.

However, Oranges fought back in the second period with Alderman clipping the post and then converting from the penalty spot.

Rahul Suren was named Oranges’ man-of-the-match for an outstanding display in the centre of the Wokingham’s defence.

Christian Carter pulled one back for Centurions before the break only for Finch to score a fourth after the interval.

Centurions would not lie down and Georgina Eden-Hasler made it 4-2 with a stunning free-kick from outside the box before Morettin also netted to cut Finch’s lead to 4-3.

But Finch recovered and scored a fifth to seal the win.

Wokingham & Emmbrook Black lost by the odd goal in five in a 3-2 defeat at Ascot Youth in East Berks Football Alliance U15 Division One.

Ascot took the lead before Drew Walsh and Josh Musialek went close for Black.

However, Musialek pulled one back for Black directly from a free-kick only for Ascot to score an all-important third.

Black striker Callum King replied for the visitors to set up a tense finish but they couldn’t find an equaliser despite Kian Duncan, Isaac Titus and King all gong close.

Wokingham went in front through Amelia Abbott following good work by Anna O’Leary and Rebecca Greig.

O’Leary then doubled Wokingham’s lead only for Binfield to pull one back.

However, O’Leary replied with her second goal of the game to give Wokingham a 3-1 lead at the break.

The second half was end to end, but great defending and goalkeeping from Wokingham’s Ellie Leahy restricted Binfield to one late goal, by which time the home side had scored another three.

The first two came from O’Leary giving her four for the match and 10 in her last three games.

Stand-in captain Briony Watts was also on the scoresheet and finished player-of-the-match.
