The club added the Junior Cup to their recent Senior Cup success to complete a memorable campaign.

But they did not have it all their own way in a tense Junior Cup final against Bracknell Rovers, which they eventually won on penalties.

Rovers took a 30th minute lead through Josh Scrivens and only a super double save by Rob Nicholas prevented Richard Bland from adding a second.

Sunny improved after the break and Rob Ellis had a goal disallowed before Dan Drew levelled on 75 minutes to take it to extra time.

Sunny thought they had nicked it when Chris Adams headed them 2-1 ahead from a Liam Hartley corner.

But Rovers’ Nick Gawen hit back in the 112th minute to take the tie to penalties.

Sunny, though, held their nerve and won 4-1, Dan Penney hitting the winning spot-kick.

It meant Sunningdale & Wentworth became the first club since 1981 to hold the Junior Cup and the Senior Cup with their first team and reserves.

The reserves also won the Division Three title with an incredible 100 per cent record over the season.

S&W would like to thank Bracknell-based sponsors Fit4Less and gym manager Ian Waterhouse for their support.
