The Robins are in action this Saturday (3pm ko) in the Bluefin Sports Supplementary Cup Final against Brimscombe & Thrupp before a mouthwatering semi-final clash against Wokingham & Emmbrook in the Reading Senior Cup at Larges Lane on Tuesday evening (7.45pm ko).

But the man in the dugout is keen for the Robins to do their talking on the pitch over the next seven days, with Bracknell having the chance to lay down a marker ahead of next season.

The Bracknell boss has been tight-lipped in the build up, but he did say: “I want to win the two cups,” and added, “We’ve been on this massive run and I want to win every game now.

“We can’t lose to Wokingham. I really don’t want to lose to them, it’s a massive game.

“But I don’t want to talk about it. They can talk about it, and we’ll just get on and play.” After a slow start to the season the Robins significantly improved after Christmas and have suffered just two defeats in their last 15 outings, culminating in the chance of success in two cup competitions. With their strong finish to the season, star man Sam Barratt tied down to a contract and a cup final and cup semi-final to come, the future looks bright for the Larges Lane outfit.

Bracknell reached the final of the Supplementary Cup with a semi-final victory over Maidenhead United Reserves after a late Jake White strike. In the previous rounds, the Robins defeated Highmoor Ibis, Henley Town and Oxford City Nomands en route to the final.

The Larges Lane outfit will also be desperate to overcome rivals Wokingham & Emmbrook and reach the Reading Senior Cup Final against Finchampstead at the Madejski Stadium.

With both sides having sailed through every round so far without conceding a goal, it will be a tense evening at Larges Lane with something sure to give.
