Joe Gritt gave the Yellamen the lead in the 36th minute when he pounced on a loose header back to slot the ball home from a tight angle.
Ascot were given a helping hand towards victory just after half-time when Jason Milhench launched into a rash, late challenge on Dave Hancock and was rightly dismissed.
It took until the 83rd minute for the visitors to seal the victory though as Arafat Kabuye struck with a late drive to beat the keeper at his near post.
Speaking ahead of the victory at Wootton Bassett Town, following their 10-0 win over Abingdon Town, Ascot United assistant manager Paul McGrotty was keen to stress the importance of finishing the season in immaculate fashion.
“We said six games ago that we need to win every game and that's still the case,” he said. “We've done it so far and hopefully we can keep that up.
“We've still got some big games left as both Wantage and Ardley have to come here.
“Hopefully we can win every game and get a bit of help from others which will give us a chance.”
