The impressive victory lifts the Robins up to 13th in the Hellenic Premier Division.

They were forced into four changes for the match as Josh Delander, Khalid Senussi, Damien Smith and joint-manager Steve Nebbett all started.

Fifth-placed Highworth enjoyed the better of the opening half and came close to scoring on a number of occasions.

Toby Clark hit the crossbar, Terry Bohane fired over from a promising position, Tom Barratt cleared off the line and Dan Smith made some decent stops as the Robins weathered the storm to go in level at half-time.

The hosts’ best chances of the first period fell to Sam Barratt and it was little surprise that the in-form winger broke the deadlock in the 50th minute.

Nebbett sent a long free-kick forwards and Barratt held off Chris Flanagan before slotting underneath the goalkeeper.

Barratt then doubled the advantage in sensational style in the 65th minute when he lobbed the keeper from the halfway line.

Receiving the ball on the right touchline, Barratt spotted Kurtis Sharkey off his line and launched a stunning effort into the back of the net.

Substitute Martin Bradshaw went close to adding a third when this time Sharkey was equal to his lob and tipped it over the bar.

Nevertheless, the Robins maintained their two-goal advantage until the final whistle to return to winning ways.

Up next for the Robins is a home game with Shrivenham this Saturday (3pm ko).
