ASCOT United's FA Vase clash with Newport Isle of Wight was called off just 90 minutes before today's game.
The pitch at Newport passed pitch inspections on Friday night and early Saturday morning and Ascot were assured the game would go ahead.
However, upon arrival, referee Mark Pottage called off the game, deeming the pitch 'unplayable' and unsafe for the players.
It was a bitter blow for the Yellamen and their travelling supporters.
The tie has been rescheduled for next Saturday, February 16.
