Wokingham manager wants to build on Wantage win

MANAGER Roger Herridge believes Wokingham & Emmbrook's impressive 1-0 win at Wantage Town will go some way to silencing their doubters.
Sumas upset the form book by inflicting just a second home defeat on title-chasing Wantage on Saturday.
It was Wokingham's first victory since early December and reignites their hopes of finishing in the top five in the Hellenic Premier Division.
Not only that, but it was a win that, according to Herridge, shows they are capable of grinding out results.
"There have been question marks about us when the going gets tough and the pitches get heavy," Herridge admitted to the News.
"Everyone knows we like to get the ball down and play and are a young side, and questions have been asked whether we have the will and fight to grind out a result. This win proves a few people wrong, we played some good football against a very good team but also dug deep and got the result."
Wokingham will have to put in a repeat performance this Saturday if they are to get anything from their home match with leaders Marlow (3pm ko).
Mark Bartley's men are unbeaten in the league since September 1 and have won their last nine games on the bounce.
Herridge, though, takes heart from the fact his side have run them close the two times they have met this season.
In the FA Vase, Marlow needed an extra-time strike to beat 10-man Sumas while at Oak Tree Road an injury-time effort from ex-Binfield man Ian Davies snatched a 2-1 win for the leaders.
"We have nothing to lose," said Herridge. "We were very depleted when we lost in the league and we matched Marlow in the Vase with 10 men until extra time.
"We know the threats they possess but we will be the strongest we have been almost all season. The only slight injury doubt is Nicky Bateman, apart from that we are fully fit, so there are no excuses and we have nothing to fear."
