ALL but one of our Bracknell-based Hellenic teams avoided any further weather disruptions to produce a mixture of cup and league wins over the weekend.

Of the two matches in the Premier Division, Ascot United recorded a 5-2 win over Holyport.

The Yellamen took the lead twice but were pegged back each time before sealing the match in the final quarter with three late goals.

Josh Warren opened the scoring after just six minutes but Jamie West replied for the visitors. The scores were only level for five minutes before John Bennett struck Ascot's second to make it 2-1 at the break.

Matt Rolfe fired in Port's second equaliser after 65 minutes but the Yellamen regained the lead 10 minutes later through Rob Saunders' penalty and they made sure of the points with further goals from Bennett and Joe Gritt in the last few minutes.

Similarly, there was only one match in Division One East to report, as Bracknell Town beat AFC Hinksey 3-0 with goals from Shane Cooper- Clark, Josh Delander and Tom Barratt.

In the Hellenic Supplementary Cup first round, Wootton Bassett were soundly beaten 5-0 at home by Wokingham & Emmbrook for whom Nick Bateman scored twice along with goals from Matt Jones, Danny Horscroft and Elliott Rushforth.

Finchampstead dispatched Cricklade Town 5-2 in the same competition with Nick Cooper leading the way with a hat-trick.

Harry Swabey also got on the scoresheet and an own goal added to Finchampstead's total, while Jack Allen scored both of Cricklade's goals.

Finchampstead Reserves beat FC Winnersh 3-1 in the rearranged third round Berks & Bucks Junior Cup tie.

Binfield's Hellenic Challenge Cup third round tie away to Brimscombe & Thrupp was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

They were due to play Ascot United at Hill Farm Lane on Monday night (7.45pm ko).

Sandhurst Town won a crucial match against fellow strugglers Dorking, winning 3-1 at Bottom Meadow in the Combined Counties Premier Division.

Chris Fox and Neil Williams were both on target as Eversley & California shared the points in a 2-2 home draw with Feltham in Division One.
