BRACKNELL Town are closing in on a string of "top-class" signings as they plot a quick return to the Hellenic Premier.

Robins will compete in Division One East after finishing bottom of the Premier Division last season.

And new joint-managers Danny Oliphant and Steve Nebbett are steadily rebuilding the squad in the hope of winning promotion at the first attempt.

While most of last season's squad, including striker Ben Knight, have agreed to stay, a host of newcomers have also arrived with up to 40 players present for pre-season training.

Speaking exclusively to the News, Oliphant said: "We've got half-a-dozen top class - and I mean top class - players here for pre-season training. They've all said they will be signing for us and we hope to get that sorted soon. If they join they will be a big boost for Bracknell."
