READING YMCA all but secured the Premier Division title with a 5-0 home win against Woodcote Stoke Row, completing a miserable week for the runners-up, writes Richard Ashton.

Matt Drake bagged a brace and Ashley Searle, Nathan Lishman and Ryan Adams also got on the scoresheet as YM moved level on points with Woodcote, but with four games in hand.

The Young Men also knocked WSR out of the Berkshire Trophy Centre Senior Cup with a 4-2 extra-time win last Wednesday.

Drake, Adams and Searle were also on the scoresheet in that game, with Craig Fitzpatrick adding the other. Mark Hughes and Jake Tucker scored for WSR.

In the Junior Cup, Cintra Park Rovers beat Berks County Rovers 2-1 in the final.

Wokingham & Emmbrook Reserves beat Rotherfield United 2-0 in the Reading Junior Cup.

A Dan Langford double and a Brad Pagliaroli strike gave Newbury a 3-3 Premier Division draw with Berks County, while Highmoor Ibis United beat Mortimer 3-1.

Sam Martin and James Hardie scored for Marlow United in their 2-2 draw with Wright & Unity Sports.

In Division One, table-toppers Burghfield lost 2-1 to Eldon Celtic after drawing 1-1 with Reading YMCA Rapids, meaning Richings Park – who themselves lost 3-1 at Hurst – will win the league if they win their last game.

Shaun Bannon, Daniel Townson and James Roxburgh-Smith got the goals for Hurst.

Westwood United Reserves won 4-1 at Maidenhead Town, while second-bottom Hurst Reserves thrashed Brimpton Athletic 7-3 in Division Two.

Goring United missed out on the Division Three title after drawing 4-4 at Taplow United Reserves.
