THERE was yet another weather affected weekend in the league – but a few games beat the wet conditions, writes Nick Carpenter.

In the Premier Division, Crowthorne Inn extended their lead at the top to four points with a 5-3 home win against Morale Madrid.

Liam Forse scored twice, with Harvey Elliott-Money, Jonny Clifford and Frank Brown also on target.

Twigg Vets went back up to third with a 4-1 win at home to Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW.

WAB are now 12 points clear at the top of Division One following their 5-1 victory over Loveman United.

Lenny Musgrave, Alex Badsah, George Lovell and Tom Smith (2) scored for WAB, while Tom McGuire replied for Lovemans, who slipped down to third following Raglan FC’s award of a walkover at home to Hurricanes. Raglan are now a point clear in second with games in hand.

Finchampstead Sunday Reserves stay fourth after their 5-2 win at AFC Crowthorne, Dean Sharp and Steve Morris scoring for Crowthorne.

Woodley United had Owen Roberts on target, but they missed the opportunity to go top of Division Two as they were held 1-1 at Athletico Ascot.

Bracknell Athletic and AFC Crowthorne Reserves played out an 11 goal thriller, with Crows emerging 6-5 winners. Braybrooke Athletic were awarded a walkover against 3M.

Division Three leaders Woodley Saints won comfortably at Bracknell Corinthians 4-0 with goals from Jamie Burnett, Tom Sheppard, Jordan Polston and Jake Brown.

But Berkshire United remain rooted to the bottom and stay pointless after their 5-3 loss at Winnersh Town.

Connor Banfield notched a hat-trick for Winnersh, while Stefan Lavasani and Warren Ludford also scored.

In a top against bottom clash in Division Four, Whitegrove Pythons put in a sterling performance at leaders Bracknell Royals only to lose 4-3 as a Cryst Enriquez brace and Jack Vaughan goal were not quite enough.

Second-placed Finchampstead Sunday A thrashed Crownwood Dukes 6-1 to stay level on points with Royals, but with a slightly inferior goal difference. Ian Stevenson, Lewis Simpson, Jake Edwards (2), Sam Hunt and Anthony Prior were on target for Finch.

Elsewhere, Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves had Callum Davies (2), Sam Cooper and Nathan Conway all on target in a 4-2 win at FC Harmanswater. Billy Golding notched both goals for the losers.

In the first BTDSFL Cup semi-final to be played this season, Bearwood Wanderers from Division Three are through to their first Junior Cup final after beating Division two leaders Warfield United 4-1, Paul King with Warfield’s consolation.

The second semi-final is scheduled for this Sunday between Newbold College of Division Two and Woodley Saints from Division Three.

BTDSFL’s last representatives in the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup went out on Sunday as FC Fernhill lost their semi-final 4-0 away at Aylesbury Flooring.
