SANDHURST Town lie sixth in the standings after slamming Chalfont Wasps 5-1, their third Hellenic League Division 1 East victory in succession.

They trailed to a Tom Fifield goal at half-time, but there was no stopping the fired-up Fizzers in the second half.

Luke Burrows equalised on 55 minutes and three minutes later Charlie Oakley put them ahead.

Hot-shot Oakley went on to complete a fine hat-trick with strikes in the 79th and 87th minutes with Tom Cooper rounding off an excellent team performance with the fifth goal in the last minute.

Sandhurst will be aiming to maintain their winning run when they visit seventh-placed Holyport on Saturday (3pm ko).

Eversley & California

Eversley & California left it late to beat Cove 3-0 at home in the Combined Counties League Division 1, with all their goals coming in the final 20 minutes.

Brad Brown broke the deadlock for the Boars then James Robertson doubled the lead with a tap-in following a long throw-in from Connor Allston.

There was still time for Robertson to score again and wrap up what was a comfortable victory in the end for the home side.

The Boars lie fourth in the table ahead of their trip to Frimley Green this Saturday (3pm ko).
