FRANZ Meyer scored a remarkable five times and a Ben Payne brace allied to Tom Stickels, Yuri Cardosa and James Smith strikes guided Ascot United Under 16 Royals to a comprehensive 10-1 destruction of Finchampstead Colts, writes Richard Ashton.

The U18 Aces overcame Bracknell United U17 5-2, but the U18 Royals were thumped 7-0 by Ashridge Park and the U18 Yankees were beaten 4-0 by Windsor.

Joseph Williams was named man of the match for the U15 Eagles as they lost 3-1 to Sandhurst Town, Ben Martire getting the goal.

An Aidan Holland brace and an own goal was enough for the U15 Youth as they drew 3-3 with Ashford Town Colts.

The U14 Galaxy hammered Finchampstead Wanderers 6-0, but despite goals from Josh Smith and Samm Daniel, the U14 Youth lost 6-2 to Farnham Town Reds.

Niels Bergknutt continued his hot streak in front of goal as he scored twice in the U13 Royals’ 2-1 victory against Highmoor Ibis, while the U13 Aces shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw with Finchampstead Rovers.

The U12 Raiders put in their best display to date in thrashing Purley Jubilee Lions 8-0.

Hari Stanley opened the scoring on six minutes, and Ascot took a grip on the game when Jamie Mescall made it 2-0 midway through the first half.

Stanley added another with a fine curling left-footed shot into the back of the net, but Purley began the second half well.

However, Raiders defended stoutly and a mistake from Purley allowed Freddie Grigg to extend the lead to 4-0.

The floodgates opened late on as Stanley and Mescall both added two more, completing their hat-tricks in the process.

Will Hopes was named man of the match.

The U12 Charges lost 3-1 at FC Holyport Cobras, the U12 Diamonds dispatched Ashstead 7-0, and Thomas Day’s strike was not enough to prevent the U12 Youth from losing 4-1 to Spelthorne Sports Sky.
