FINCHAMPSTEAD Athletic Reserves crashed out of the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup at the second round stage with a disappointing 5-1 defeat at Datchet Village 3rds, writes Nick Carpenter.

Sandhurst FFC advanced with a 3-2 success at The George & Dragon, while Binfield Royals outgunned Woodley Wanderers Youth 5-3.

Loveman United edged out Winkfield FC 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller, AFC Crowthorne smashed Braybrooke Athletic 5-1, Berkshire All Stars lost 3-0 to Prestige Worldwide and Newbold College advanced with a dramatic 4-3 success at Elton Rifles.

Athletico Ascot suffered penalty heartbreak as they went out 4-3 on spot-kicks at Imaan following a 1-1 draw.

Bracknell Athletic lost 5-1 at home to Langley Old Boys, 3M FC were beaten 1-0 at Slough Lions and Warfield United crushed Bracknell Saint-Germain 5-1.

Ashridge Park conceded their game against P & IC United.

Crowthorne Inn remain top of the Premier Division after their 4-2 win at Morale Madrid, Liam Forde, Jonny Clifford, Leon Mannion and Elliot Mitchell all scoring for the leaders.

Twigg Vets stay just two points behind as they thumped pointless Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW 6-1.

FC Meta remain the side to watch, however, and the only unbeaten side in the division after their 3-1 win at home to Bracknell Cavaliers, Ed Munson with the consolation.

Finchampstead Athletic ran out comfortable 6-2 winners at Intercity FC, Joe Cumnor with a hat-trick plus goals from Tom Churchill-Cooper, Byron Hobbs and Cameron Miller for Finch. Andy Smith and Scott Ancell replied for Intercity.

Golden Farmer Rangers beat FC Fernhill 4-3 at home in a cracker.

The hosts got off to a great start as a first-minute corner was headed goalbound by Brian Murphy before being turned in by Ricardo Escorcio, and they doubled their lead when Dan Adams saw his first effort blocked, but managed to squeeze the ball in from a tight angle.

He had a second goal ruled out for offside, and Fernhill immediately got themselves back in the game when Lewis Burns tapped in from close range and Charlie Evanson converted a penalty for 2-2.

Escorcio bagged his second in the second period, but with just minutes remaining Elliott Rushforth jinked inside two defenders before finishing well from a tight angle for 3-3.

Both teams created further chances to win it, but right at the death a sublime pass from the outstanding Murphy sent Adams clear and he produced a delightful lob from fully 30 yards to seal the victory.

In Division One, Luke Angel struck four times and Jake White added a brace as Raglan moved up to second with a 6-3 win against leaders WAB, a George Lovel effort and a Tom Smith brace not enough for the beaten side.

Berks County moved up to third in Division Two with a 1-0 win at Ashridge Park Royals, the goal coming courtesy of Joe Miller. AFC Crowthorne came out on top in a feisty affair at Woodley United, winning 5-2. Luke Blakeborough scored for Woodley with the other an own goal.

Woodley Saints are now three points clear at the top of Division Three after their 2-1 win at Winnersh Town, while WAB Reserves hammered Berkshire United 5-0 as Will Kennedy bagged four and Ben Hazell also got on the scoresheet.

Winnersh Rangers won 5-3 at home to Bearwood Wanderers as Chad Daborn grabbed a brace and Ross Sykes, Josh Carter and an own goal completed the scoring for the hosts.

Bracknell Falcons went down 3-2 at Hope & Anchor with Jamie Dale, Neil Hangar and Michael Brown the home side’s goalscorers.

Division Four leaders Crownwood Dukes overcame Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves 5-3, Silver Birch A downed Whitegrove Pythons 2-0, Bracknell Royals obliterated Finchampstead Athletic A 8-1 and player-manager Robbie Lemon and Martin Barroso got the goals as Bracknell Titans edged out FC Harmanswater 2-1.
