HURST suffered a second straight Division One defeat as they were beaten 2-0 at home by Burghfield, writes Richard Ashton.

Richard Dance fired Burghfield in front before Keiran Farmer added a second to maintain their winning start.

Maidenhead Magpies and Rotherfield United drew 0-0, but a Ryan Adams double and goals from Matthew Drake and substitute Ashley Searle helped new leaders Reading YMCA make it five wins from five with a 4-0 cruise against Berks County.

Second-placed Marlow United came from behind to beat former table-toppers Woodcote Stoke Row 4-2.

Surdariu Catalin put the visitors in front before Jake Dillon and Adam Cashin-Murray replied for WSR, only for Andrew Nicol and Liam Bushay to strike twice in three minutes midway through the second half before Catalin netted again late on.

Cookham Dean slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Westwood United, while Wright & Unity Sports won by the same margin against Mortimer.

Callum Samuel-Harman bagged a brace and Jake White got the other for Woodley United Royals, but they were held to a 3-3 draw by Newbury. Craig Hill scored twice for the visitors with Jake Allan also on the scoresheet.

Alfie Fairhall scored the only goal of the game as Wraysbury Village continued their encouraging start with a 1-0 success at Highmoor Ibis United.

In the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup, Binfield Reserves edged out Wokingham & Emmbrook Reserves 2-1, while Cookham Dean Reserves squeezed past Real Saracens 1-0.

Nine-man FC Imaan Lions produced a tremendous display to beat Maidenhead Town 4-1. Muqaddas Rajput, George Dallarda, Sabeel Ashgar and Yousef Younis got the goals for Lions, who had Ashgar and Abdullah Ali dismissed.

Richard Cumner bagged a consolation, but Berks County Reserves were thumped 5-1 by Slough Heating Reserves, while Hurst Reserves advanced with a 3-1 success at Signcraft.

Andrew Johnstone-Archer and Jordan Webb both grabbed doubles as Mortimer Reserves annihilated Uffington United 8-0, Sam Jordan, Lewis Marshall and Stefan Allen among the other goalscorers.

In Division Two, a Liam Lewendon brace helped South Reading edge past Harchester Hawks 2-1, Philip Wright netting for the visitors.

FC Woodley battered Woodcote Stoke Row Reserves 10-0, Marlow United Reserves eased past AFC Corinthians 5-2 and White Eagles snatched a 3-2 victory in a five-goal thriller at home to Brimpton Athletic.

Oliver Eaves (2) plus Dayle Thomas and Levi Bennett goals helped Taplow United Reserves open their Division Three campaign with a 4-2 win against Maidenhead Town Reserves.

Sam Fuller scored twice and Matthew Purser also found the net as Goring United Reserves won 3-2 at Braybrooke, while Wargrave thumped Highmoor Ibis Athletic 7-1.

Peter Jones, Paul Novell and Andrew Prosser got the goals as Hurst A won a dramatic game 3-2 at Henley Town Reserves, Dan Sykes and Owen Darani on target for the home side.

Sam Evans scored an incredible five times as Maidenhead Town A ran riot in smashing Cintra Park Rovers 9-0. Substitute Jack Sharpling also helped himself to a brace, with the scoring finished off by Callum Curran and Kieran North.

Daniel Pawson and Chris Searle were on the scoresheet for Berks County Rovers in their 2-2 draw with AFC Corinthians A, while Woodley United B beat Harchester Hawks Development 2-0.

White Eagle Reserves overcame Goring United Reserves 2-0, and a double from Bhurinder Bangoo, aided by a Charlie Hill strike, was not enough to prevent Taplow United A losing 6-3 at Twyford & Ruscombe.
