EVERSLEY & California returned to winning ways as they grabbed a 2-1 Combined Counties League Division One victory at Sheerwater on Saturday.

There were few chances in a goalless first half, but it was the Boars who took a 48th-minute lead when Brad Brown converted from James Osler’s set-up.

Sheerwater levelled almost immediately, but Osler was again provider as Ben Hutchings scored the winner.

Fifth-placed Eversley & California had previously lost 3-0 at Ash United on Tuesday of last week.

Pasha Tayo-Walker, Matthew Barclay and Kalum Patrick got the goals for the home side.

Eversley & California travel to mid-table Staines Llamas this coming Saturday (3pm).

  • SANDHURST Town had to settle for a point in their Hellenic League Division One East clash at Holyport after the two sides drew 1-1.

Alex Penny put the visitors in front at Summerleaze with an 18th-minute effort, but Daniel Janos levelled matters before the break.
