MATTY Rogers grabbed a hat-trick as Wokingham & Emmbrook Oranges came from behind to beat basement boys Farnham Royal Mavericks 8-4 in East Berkshire Football Alliance Under 14s Division Six.
Man-of-the-match Nathan Mulvaney put Oranges in front but Mavericks hit back and went 2-1 up only for James Starkey to level then Rogers to nudge them 3-2 ahead.
They increased their lead after the break through Mulvaney then Rogers scored twice more to complete his hat-trick for a 6-2 advantage.
Starkey added Oranges’ seventh, Stam Hamblin got the eighth, with Mavericks netting twice late on.
Wokingham & Emmbrook Sumas defeated Bracknell Town Youth 3-1 in EBFA Under 16s Division One.
Sumas fell behind to their rivals but Prashant Gurung equalised, Adam McLaughlin nudged them ahead and Gurung netted a second to complete the comeback.
- CAPTAIN Max Smith scored the only goal as Wokingham District Under 11s defeated Gloucester 1-0 in the Southern Counties League.
Scott Morgan also hit the post for Wokingham who now face Potters Bar in a title-decider on April 22.
- JOSH Betts, Rory Beer and Jamie Fraser scored for Ascot United Aces U18s in a 4-3 defeat to Onslow on Sunday.
Amy Laurence and Katie Vince were on target for Ascot U18s Diamonds in a 4-2 loss to Beecholme Belles Ascot U16s went down 4-2 to Bedford Eagles despite goals from Robbie Veasey and Fabio Thercaj.
A Gabriel George double sealed a 2-0 win for Ascot U14s against Esher Town Colts, while Charlie Dunnett netted in a 3-1 defeat for Ascot U13s against Farnham Town Blues.
Luke Knowles, Miguel Soto and Oscar Pritchard netted for Ascot U12s in a 3-1 victory against Sheen Lions.
On Saturday, Ascot U18s Spartans were beaten 2-1 by Whitegrove Pythons, Elliot Stewart grabbing their goal.
Harvey Gilbert, Oscar Holden and Dylan Reilly scored for Ascot U16s in a 6-3 reverse against Frimley Green.
Sam Donachie (2), Jack Hobbs and Tom Monck found the net for Ascot Aces U15s in a 4-3 win against Woodley Hammers.
Will Wraight (2) and Patrick Costello helped Ascot Saints U12s draw 3-3 with Purley Jubilee, while Joe Booth was on target as Ascot Arrows U12s drew 1-1 with Bracknell Youth.
