BRACKNELL Cavaliers suffered another dent to their title aspirations in the Premier Division as they were held to a 1-1 draw by rivals Bracknell Celtic.

Cavaliers saw themselves take the lead in calamitous fashion when Celtic’s keeper bundled the ball into his own net from left-back Scott Graham’s set piece shortly after the interval.

Nick Cooper and Shaun Andrews came close to doubling the lead, but Celtic made Cavaliers pay for their profligacy and levelled deep into the second half as central defender Chris Hedges rose highest to head powerfully home past keeper Scott Oakley.

Finchampstead Athletic secured a 3-2 win at Binfield Club Athletic to move within a point of Cavaliers. Joe Cumner, Mike Starnes and Ian Davies were on target for Finch.

Golden Farmer Rangers stay third despite going down 3-2 at Morale Madrid. Shane Cooper-Clark scored all three of the hosts’ goals.

FC Meta were comfortable victors, beating Braybrooke Athletic 5-1 at home, and FC Fernhill had a walkover against Raglan.

In Division One, Finchampstead Reserves moved five points clear at the top after a Dan Marles goal secured a 1-0 win at AFC Crowthorne.

Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW held second-placed Crowthorne Inn to a 1-1 draw, although they do have four games in hand on the leaders. Jake Crean scored for Inn.

Intercity are also very much still in the mix and beat Hurricanes 3-0, while Ashridge Park edged past Whitegrove 1-0.

Bottom side 3M won a thriller 5-4 at home to Sandhurst FFC thanks to goals from Mark Tyler, Luke Roper, Peppe Apicella, Danny Coyle and Glenn McDonald.

Berkshire All Stars stay top of Division Two despite going down 3-1 at home to WAB, a Marcus Federick brace and George Lovel’s goal enough for the visitors. Tommy Marshall replied for All Stars.

Second-placed Binfield Royals thrashed Hope & Anchor 6-2, with Myles White hitting a hat-trick and Harry Arquimbau a double.

Goals from Mitchell Webb and Tom Peterson were not quite enough for Berks County as they were held at home 2-2 by Berkshire United, while Bracknell Athletic eased past Bracknell Saint-Germain 3-0.

Warfield United won 4-0 at home to Newbold College, and two goals apiece from goals from Jason Ellary and Scott Ancell, plus one from Moses Kanani, helped Club 8 to a 5-3 win at Winnersh Town.

Mario Bacui netted twice for the hosts, with Rob Mackie also hitting the target.

Division Three leaders Ashridge Park U21s were held 0-0 by a spirited Bracknell Titans, while Bracknell Falcons demolished Finchampstead Athletic A 8-1.

A Sam Williams hat-trick inspired FC Harmanswater, who also had their shooting boots on as they battered AFC Crowthorne Reserves 6-1.

Wayne Antoni scored two and Matt Cory was also on target for Harmanswater.

Woodley United Reserves beat Silver Birch 2-1 to swap places, the victors now up to third.

Finally Bracknell Royals and Winnersh Rangers finished all square at 2-2, Tom Whitfield and Neal McDowell for the latter.
