BRACKNELL Cavaliers stayed top of the Premier Division as they thumped basement side Braybrooke Athletic 10-1, writes Nick Carpenter.

Cavaliers found themselves behind after two minutes when poor marking allowed a Braybrooke player to ghost into the box unmarked to head home past Conor Ridgers.

But they quickly got back into the game when Ryan Whyte equalised from distance moments later, before a Ted Munson double that included an audacious chip and a Frazer Hyman penalty put them in control.

Whyte scored again shortly before half-time to give the Cavs a 5-1 lead at the break.

And then they ran riot in the second-half with substitute Nick Cooper scoring a hat-trick.

Defender Connor Allston also got in the goals, scoring twice to extend his tally to six goals for the season.

Golden Farmer Rangers are back up to second, six points behind the leaders and just ahead of third-placed Finchampstead Sunday on goal difference after beating Binfield Club Athletic 4-1.

In a closely-fought first half, Farmer’s Dan Adams used all his pace and strength to stretch the Bins defence before powering home to open the scoring on 35 minutes, then just before half-time his side were awarded a hotly-disputed penalty following a fairly innocuous looking challenge on Brian Murphy.

Dave Matthews made no mistake with an unstoppable spot kick for 2-0. Adams then capped an excellent individual performance with a second on 60 minutes before the pick of the goals as Murphy stroked home a fourth from 20 yards. Binfield pulled one back just before the end as the game finished 4-1.

Jamie Currie scored twice for Finchampstead and James Kirby, Byron Hobbs, and Tom Churchill-Cooper were also on target as they comfortably beat Bracknell Celtic 5-0.

FC Meta stay fourth despite their match with FC Fernhill being abandoned towards the end of the game with the score still at 0-0.

Division One leaders Crowthorne Inn were in cup action which allowed Finchampstead Sunday Reserves the opportunity to move to within a point of the summit with a 6-2 win at Ashridge Park, Andy Lazenbury with a hat-trick plus Tom Tinsley, Ian Rose and Kwame Appiah all on target for Finch.

Intercity FC won again, this time 2-1 at Winkfield FC, who had Ryan Martin on target and are now well placed in third spot just two points off the top and with games in hand on both sides above them.

Sandhurst FFC are up to fifth as they leap-frogged opponents Whitegrove, winning 3-2. AFC Crowthorne had a storming 7-2 win at Hurricanes, Nick Walker and Andre Jardim with a brace apiece plus goals from Pete Morris, Michael McCombie and Steve Morris for Crows.

Bracknell Forest ran out 3-0 winners at home to 3M, a Ben Lawrence hat-trick doing the damage.

Berkshire All Stars stay top of Division Two, but found that goals from Sam Barnor and Michael Willis and a Tommy Marshall double were not enough for them to grab all three points this week as they were held 4-4 at Warfield United.

Second-placed Binfield Royals were also held 2-2 at Bracknell Saint-Germain.

Club 8 thrashed bottom side Hope & Anchor 7-0 and WAB moved up to third as they beat Berks County 6-1, Dave Amey with County’s consolation.

There were also high scoring games in Division Three as Neal McDowell struck a fine hat-trick and Tom Whitfield, James Ebel, Gary Perry and an own goal helped Winnersh Rangers beat Bracknell Falcons 7-4.

Leaders Bearwood Wanderers beat third placed Silver Birch 7-2.

AFC Crowthorne Reserves kept themselves in contact with the top three as they beat Bracknell Titans 2-1, while FC Harmanswater and Crownwood Dukes drew 2-2 and Woodley United Reserves won 3-0 at home to Bracknell Cavaliers U21s.

In the Senior Cup, Shane Cooper-Clark hit a hat-trick and Josh Casey added a fourth as Morale Madrid secured their spot in the semi-finals with a hard fought 4-3 victory against Division One opponents Crowthorne Inn, James King, Marcus Simonds and Harvey Elliott-Money replying.
