EVERSLEY & California twice came from behind in the first half to win 5-2 at Epsom Athletic in Division 1 of the Combined Counties League on Saturday.

Bradley Brown and Ali Kamara were among the Boars goalscorers.

The victory leaves them seventh in the table ahead of Saturday’s home fixture with second-placed Bagshot (3pm ko), who have won nine and drawn one of their 12 away league games.

Sadly, Eversley were knocked out of the League Division One Cup after a 3-1 home defeat to Ash United on Tuesday night, Sam Hutch netting their consolation goal.

Wokingham & Emmbrook

WOKINGHAM & Emmbrook, without a game last weekend, return to Hellenic Division 1 East action this Saturday when they travel to fifth-in-the-table AFC Aldermaston, who are four places above them (2.30pm ko).

Sumas earned a 1-1 draw at Chalfont Wasps last time out thanks to a Jake Wheeler equaliser.

Sandhurst Town

SANDHURST Town, down in 12th spot, were hammered 5-1 at home by leaders Penn & Tylers Green although gave a better account of themselves than the score would suggest.

Trailing to goals by Josh Fox and Chris Hurst at half-time, the Fizzers replied through Harry Oakley on 50 minutes and went close to equalising.

However, the visitors went on to secure a comfortable with with Hurst completing his hat-trick and substitute Danny Jordan adding the other goal.

It doesn’t get any easier for Sandhurst, as this Saturday they travel to the Rivermoor Stadium in west Reading to face second-placed Woodley, who have won nine of their 10 league games this season.
