FC Meta moved to within two points of the top of the Bracknell Town & District Premier Division with a 4-1 win at Raglan.

FC Fernhill are also on the rise as they won a hard-fought encounter at Finchampstead.

A tight game suddenly came to life just before the interval when a Finch mix-up at the back let in Lewis Burns for an easy tap-in to put Fernhill in front.

Finchampstead came back and right on half time they were gifted a great chance of their own to equalise from the penalty spot after a clumsy challenge in the box, but Mark Harding saw his shot go wide of the left-hand post with Ashley East the Fernhill keeper diving in the opposite direction.

Finch were missing the quality of Gareth Ainsworth and Michael Starnes and it was no surprise when Fernhill doubled their lead, Charlie Evanson taking the ball round Ben Andrews before coolly slotting home from the angle.

Jack Patterson came off the bench to grab a late consolation for Finch but Fernhill held on to secure the 2-1 win and with games in hand on the leading pack they are looking serious title contenders once again.

Bracknell Cavaliers stay top courtesy of a walk-over against Super Reeves and they will now face their biggest test of the new season when they line up against FC Fernhill on Sunday.

In Division One leaders Crowthorne Inn racked up their eighth win of the season and are still undefeated 10 games in as they were convincing 6-1 winners at Sandhurst FFC, Liam Forde with a hat-trick, Taylor Elliott-Money, Tom Wilson and Callum Russell all on target for Crows.

The only other game in the division saw Bracknell Forest beat Whitegrove 4-3, Shi Hussey bagging a brace and Alfie Sparrow netting for the beaten side.

There was only one league game in Division Two where Berkshire United moved up to third spot with a 7-1 victory at Winnersh Town.

Silver Birch are the new leaders in Division Three following their 4-0 win at Crownwood Dukes and Ashridge Park U21s 3-1 loss at Woodley United Reserves.

Bracknell Royals beat Bracknell Falcons 2-1 and Bracknell Cavaliers U21s jumped up a place by beating Finchampstead Athletic A 4-1.

In the Junior Cup, Berkshire All Stars needed extra time to secure a 5-3 win at FC Harmanswater.

They will now meet WAB in the last four after their 4-3 penalty shoot-out win against Bracknell Athletic after the sides were still level at 2-2 after extra time.

In the other semi-final, holders Finchampstead Sunday Reserves will play Warfield United, Finch beating Binfield Royals 4-2 and Warfield also needing extra-time for their 5-4 win against Berks County FC.
