FIXTURES were once again affected by heavy overnight rain courtesy of Storm Angus, but in the Premier Division Finchampstead Sunday’s excellent playing surface at The Memorial Ground was deemed playable, writes Nick Carpenter.

Finch used that to their advantage to secure a 3-0 win against Bracknell Celtic to move up to fourth in the table.

Skipper Mike Starnes, Jamie Currie and Mark Harding netted in the victory.

The only other top-division game saw Morale Madrid thump a depleted Super Reeves 11-1, a result that sees Madrid up to third and a point behind the joint leaders.

Division One

Game of the day saw first against second in Division One as Crowthorne Inn hosted Finchampstead Reserves.

Both sides were unbeaten before kick-off, but the bragging rights were taken by Crowthorne as they came from behind twice to win 4-2 win, with man-of-the-match Taylor Elliott-Money among their goalscorers when he converted a hotly-disputed penalty in the second half to put his side 3-2 in front.

The win opens up a gap of seven points between the top two.

The only other game in the division saw Daniel Merritt on target for Ashridge Park as they continued their recent run up the table with a 3-1 win at AFC Crowthorne. Andre Jardim had given Crows an early lead, but Ashridge hit back with two before the break, then added a third in the second half.

Division Two

Division Two also saw a top versus second clash as leaders Berkshire All Stars were held 1-1 at home by Binfield Royals.

All Stars were assisted with an own goal, while Henry Forrester levelled things up for Bins.

WAB remain in third spot after a 6-2 victory at home to Club 8. Tom Smith and Connor Martley hit a brace each, while Luc Dwelly and Lenny Musgrove also netted. Jason Ellary and Kevin Wynter replied for Club 8.

Division Three

Division Three was the least affected by the weather and saw a full fixture list played.

Tom Murray and Ben Murray hit the target for Ashridge Park U21s who stay top after a 2-1 win against Silver Birch.

AFC Crowthorne Reserves jumped above Birch into second with a 5-2 win at Bracknell Cavaliers U21s and Winnersh Rangers are now fourth as they beat FC Harmanswater 5-2.

Tom Sandys (2), Tom Whitfield, Neal McDowell and Lewis Hester scored for Winnersh. Josh Brown and Lewis Kindeleit netted for Harmanswater.

Bracknell Titans were another side that won 5-2, beating Crownwood Dukes and Bracknell Royals thrashed Finchampstead Sunday A 6-1.

Bracknell Falcons continued their poor run with a 2-1 loss at Bearwood Wanderers, the early season pacesetters have now slipped down into fifth place.

In the BTDSFL Junior Cup, the last quarter-final tie is now known following Berks County’s 7-2 win at Hope & Anchor. County will now play Warfield United in the next round.
