JAMES Suarez has rejoined Binfield FC from Bracknell Town at a time when he is looking to further his career in football, writes Dave Wright.

The 30-year-old midfielder made his return for the Moles in their 1-1 draw with Oxford City Nomads at Hill Farm Lane on Saturday – and that was his 236th appearance for the club.

“It’s good to have him back as he will provide our young side with some valuable experience,” said manager Roger Herridge.

“James is also keen to get involved in the coaching and management side of the game and that will be something we will be discussing over the next few months.”

Herridge also gave debuts to two new players on Saturday – goalkeeper Munoda Mo Nyamunga and forward Brad Pagliaroli.

Nyamunga joins from Sydenhams Wessex League Division 1 side Alton. He is not a complete a stranger to the Moles, as he guested for them in a pre-season friendly at Alton when Binfield had no keeper available.

His arrival at Hill Farm Lane will put a question mark over the future of Garry Aulsbery, who had been a regular up until last week.

Herridge has become increasingly concerned over the way his side have been “gifting the opposition goals from individual errors”.

Pagliaroli (previously with the surname of Ward) is the former Newbury and Hungerford player who more recently has been playing for Kintbury Rangers.

He came off the bench to replace Matt Jones for the last 30 minutes and was involved in their 75th-minute goal.

His effort at goal didn’t appear to carry too much power, but keeper Christian Lawrence failed to collect it cleanly, dropped it, allowing Grant Kemp to poke the ball over the line.

But Binfield held on to their lead for only a few minutes.

Nomads made three substitutions in the space of 12 minutes and the last of them, Dean Gallagher, equalised within a minute of coming on with a shot from just outside the area that hit the net before Nyamunga could move.

The nearest the Moles got to winning the match came when Liam Ferdinand got around back of the defence and fired the ball over in Luke Hayden’s direction, but an Oxford defender came in with a timely tackle to rescue his side.

Nomads, too, had a late chance to win the game and Herridge admitted: “A draw was probably the fairest result on the balance of play.

“But it was disappointing to go one-nil up and concede the goal we did because it was just one ball down the middle.”

He added: “We worked hard, but in the first half we didn’t play with the same intensity, drive and energy like we had against Windsor last Monday.

“In the second half, we improved and it became quite an open game.

“We have a really hard month coming up, so could have done with all three points today, but looking on the positive side, we are now unbeaten in three games.”

Binfield, who moved up a place to eighth with this point, travel to fourth club, Highworth, this Saturday (3pm).
